Verizon Storms Ahead with Blackberry

Sorry.  Bad title.  It's Monday.

Anyway, Engadget is posting information from Verizon on the Blackberry Storm.  Here are the highlights that VW will dazzle you with:

  • First ever BB touch screen.  They made it sound like it's the first touch screen PERIOD.
  • Quad band connection.
  • 3.2 MP camera.
  • Rich media experience - full HTML browsing.
  • Visual mail - just like Apple and ATT before, VW is currently being sued.
  • 3G.
  • Ask customers to go onto the website for information about the device.
  • Innovative "click" touch screen.  It means you've actually have to press harder on the screen to get a response.  Not sure what that's about.
  • High Resolution.
So, there you have it.  By this time, people should be clamoring over which phone will be crowned the Storm killer.

Here is a video from Crackberry on a little demo of the Storm and what it can do.
Stay tuned for how this changes the mobile landscape when released.
Note:  Verizon Wireless' Storm page is unavailable as expected.
