Mobile Update for September 16, 2008

Will we see the new Android phone tomorrow?  Remember, Tmonews brought us the information about pre-orders on the 17th.  Okay, we can't hold to that date now that we have a couple of mainstream media chime in on the 23rd as the date when Google and T-Mobile will come out with gPhone, sorry, Dream.

Well Google demo'd a working Android phone.  Techradar has some details about that.  Phandroid is reporting October 20th availability.

UPDATE:  IT'S OFFICIAL.  SEPTEMBER 23RD.  (Android Community -with live-blogging, Engadget, Crunchgear).  163 Hours left!

Mobile Device Update:

  • Crunchgear says Zune now supports audible.com.
  • Yahoo News reports Microsoft and McDonald in a deal to let Zune owners access Wi-Fi for free.  I wonder what ever happened to iPhone owners access to ATT hotspots for free.

  • iXplora reports Xperia may move away from Windows Mobile in the future.  Android or Symbian?  Looks like Microsoft will have to eat its own dog food and launch a device or two, possibly with Zune support.  C'mon.  We all know that's coming.
