Obama Bored With Blackberry, Let's Help Him Appreciate Mobile And Govern At The Same Time

POTUS is bored with his Blackberry. It’s not because it’s a bad device. Well, it certainly isn’t sexy and cool like the iPhone or the Galaxy but RIM devices never claim to be. Rather, there seems to be very little interaction between President and the 10 or so White staff who might have access.

So what’s the point of such a device? Well, here’s an idea for anyone with some skills to make it happen. President Obama or any future President can take advantage of this.

Essentially, it’s an app that uses crowd-source to come up with great ideas for the government to follow. Essentially, providing a blue-print by the people for which the federal, state, or local governments can draw up.

At the end of the day, I think people, whatever their political flavors are, have a fair amount of common sense. We just want a government that is fair, not overreaching, and works.

I know, I know…I’m dreaming here but at the very least, Obama will know what the major of the people are thinking and not pollsters who may have their own agenda.

And this certainly doesn’t have to be limited to the executive branch. Congress can also take note. Furthermore, it’ll provide political covers for the President, Senators, and Representatives in the House to create laws that make sense.

I’m not suggesting that everything in such a realm be taken in by our elected officials. Nor am I naively to think that this can even work. However, it will provide an avenue for the public to know where the majority of us stand. Not at the fringes but in the middle somewhere, a place where it isn’t really all that difficult for our leaders to govern from.

So, the President is disenchanted with his mobile. Let's help him appreciate it. Someone get him an iPhone or Droid (should be something American made. He is the President of the United States) and help him govern.

Note: I hope everyone takes this as a light-hearted post and nothing more. If there was any possibility that our elected officials will hold the public or national interests above personal ambition or party interests, it would have happened already. Long ago. Still, you never know. We are Americans. Humans. I'm forever optimistic.
