Beginning Of the End for Ridiculously Expensive SMS Plans

When Apple unveiled iMessage yesterday at the WWDC keynote for iOS 5, next update for the iPhone and iPad, people started saying it'll be end beginning of the end to RIM.  I disagree.  But it will be the beginning of the end of expensive texting plans.

We sent 2.1 trillion messages in 2010 that earned the wireless cartel billions in additional profits.  I hope with iMessage along with whatever Google, Microsoft, and anyone else come up with, that'll put the final nails in that coffin for good.
