iCloud Compared to Google Webapps

Apple has decidedly taken the app approach while Google has decided that browsers like the Chrome, and, specifically, Chrome OS is the way to go for its cloud offerings.

This Computer World post here is an excellent place to start to educate yourself about the difference in approach and what Apple and Google each offers as well as their disadvantages.  One is going for ease of use and simplicity while the other is about the widest access which means compromises.

To me, robustness is something that is just as important.  And just as important is the cost.  Both the iCloud and Google webapps are free.

I'm sure we'll hear more about this topic in the coming weeks as developers and bloggers have had a chance to digest all the details.  There is still quite a bit we don't know about iCloud and how well it works.
