Reuters: Apple to Release Two iPhones At End Of Sept

Apple will release two models of iPhones.  Reuters along with other news organizations have been getting into the Apple product speculation game, WSJ, Fox, Associated Press, and it looks like they just might have something more meaty than we can expect from a news organization.

Obviously, we need to take them with a grain of salt until Apple does what it does and we find out if Reuters is correct.

The gist is that Apple will release two models of iPhones.

The cheaper version will be an iPhone 4 with 8 GB of storage.  This is the same amount of storage now available in the 3GS and half the storage of the 16 GB iPhone 4.  I reckon this will be take the place of the 3GS and possibly in the pre-paid market like Virgin Mobile.  If that's the case, wow, that'll be where a lot of people are headed.

The other will probably be the fabled iPhone 5.  So far, no one.  Let me repeat: NO ONE.  No one has any concrete details what the specs are.  If they do, they're probably getting it from questionable sources who read it on a rumor site or two.

If you read the Reuters post, they wrote "IPHONE 5 BY END-SEPT?"

Yes, they put a question market and yet they titled their article as "EXCLUSIVE".  WTF, right?  Well, I did enjoy reading it.  I want a 4" to 4.5" screen with 720p and 8MP camera with an iPad like battery life.  That's what I'm looking for.

No, yesteryday, we reported that an unreleased iPhone was recorded to be using both AT&T and Verizon's networks which leads us to expect these new iPhone models will sport dual-mode, CDMA and GSM.

Anyway, we're in the fourth quarter of the iPhone release game.  Not quite the two-minute mark but we're close.
