Customers Should Get Together And Bring Netflix To Its Knees Before We Offer It Help

I think we should get together and all cancel our Netflix accounts. Obviously, things are tough for the online video streaming and DVD rental company. Just today, we learned that Starz has walked away from Netflix and will cease offering content at the end of the day on February 28th, 2012.

It'll show Netflix that we don't find their use of our price increases to finance other market expansions without getting anything in return.

I know more than a few of us have already shut off our Netflix accounts or will do so soon. Maybe someone out there can set up a website for people acknowledge when they've canceled their account.

I like Netflix. I really do but I don't like being jerked around.

According to this Marketwatch, Starz is just the beginning. There are worse days for Netflix ahead.

Netflix is betting that we will stay loyal despite the price increases. Well, as far as I am concerned, I put Netflix in the same market as cable and satellite TV companies. And in one survey I read in 2008 during the height of the recession, as hated as wireless carriers are, people were willing to give up paid TV rather than their smartphone services.

I think Netflix bet big and wrongly about increasing our prices without giving us anything in return.
